Abbey Theatre
An eight-week skills development programme from Ireland's national theatre for new playwrights, expanding who gets to write and what plays can be. Twelve paid participants develop their craft in a community of peers, led by the Abbey's Literary and New Work team.
Artists with an established practice in any live-performance discipline who have written no more than one play. Paid attendance fee; travel support for those over 50km from Dublin.
Eight-week programme running February-April 2025. 12 participating artists. €100 per session attendance fee. Based on island of Ireland, in-person at Abbey Theatre Dublin.
