Bush Theatre
The Bush opens an unsolicited submissions window once a year for full-length plays from unrepresented writers, with a keen interest in voices not often heard. At least one place in the Bush Writers' Group is reserved for a writer found through the call. Relaunching later in 2026 in a reworked format.
Playwrights based in the UK or Ireland who are not currently represented by an agent. Full-length, unperformed plays.
Open call operates every other year. 2026 window closed early after reaching submission cap. Next window will open in 2028; details to be released closer to the time.
